Ti-6AI-4V(TC4) alloy is a medium-strength a-β type two-phase titanium alloy, containing 6%α -stabilizing element Al and 4%β -stabilizing element V. This alloy has excellent comprehensive performance and has been widely applied in the aviation and aerospace industries. The alloy can operate at a long-term temperature of up to 400℃. In the aviation industry, it is mainly used to manufacture fans and compressor discs and blades for engines, as well as important load-bearing components such as beams, joints and spacers in aircraft structures.
The main semi-finished products of TC4 titanium alloy are bars, forgings, thick plates, thin plates, sections and wires, etc. The alloy is mainly used in the annealed state and can also be strengthened by solution aging treatment to a certain extent. However, the quenched cross-section generally does not exceed 25mm. This alloy has excellent processability and superplasticity, and is suitable for various pressure processing and forming. This alloy can also be welded and mechanically processed in various ways.
The density ρ of TC4 is 4.44g/cm³.
