Nimonic263 alloy is an air-fused nickel-based alloy that is used to provide easy-to-process sheet material and improved toughness in welded assemblies to replace Nimonic80A alloy. It is designed as a sheet to meet specific design criteria such as tensile strength and creep strength. All standard forms are now available.
The welding techniques for this alloy are similar to those commonly used for other aged-hardening nickel-based alloys. During emergency welding operations, no pre-welding heat treatment is required for aged-hardened components. However, it is advisable to perform subsequent aging hardening treatment after completing all emergency welds. If the temperature exceeds 750°℃, the material will undergo aging during service.
The density of the alloy is ρ=8.36g/cm³.
