Inconel C-276 is an alloy renowned for its corrosion resistance under various conditions. The high molybdenum content provides resistance to localized corrosion (such as pitting). The low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation, and the weld maintains resistance to intergranular corrosion. This alloy is utilized in chemical processing, pollution control, pulp and paper production, industrial and municipal waste treatment, as well as the recovery of “acid” natural gas. In air pollution control applications, it serves as a chimney liner, pipeline component, damper, scrubber, flue gas reheater, and fan. In chemical processing, the alloy is employed in components including heat exchangers, reactor vessels, evaporators, and transfer pipelines.
The density of the alloy is ρ=8.89g/cm³.
