Inconel783 is an oxidation-resistant, low-expansion nickel-cobalt-iron alloy containing aluminum, chromium, and niobium. This innovative alloy has attracted significant interest from aircraft gas turbine engine designers and materials engineers, as it can be used for sealing and clearance control in components such as compressors, turbines, and exhaust system components including rings, casings, shrouds, and seals.
Manufacturing/processing characteristics are comparable to Inconel718 and less restrictive than Incoloy 909.
The density of the alloy is ρ=7.81g/cm³.
