Incoloy 800HT is a fully austenitic low-carbon nickel-iron-chromium alloy in the same series as Incoloy 800, with its cobalt content strictly controlled below 0.01%. This alloy demonstrates excellent resistance to corrosion by various corrosive media. Its high nickel content provides superior stress corrosion cracking resistance under aqueous corrosive conditions. The elevated chromium content enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. While exhibiting strong resistance to nitric acid and organic acid corrosion, its performance in sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid remains limited. It shows good corrosion resistance in oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts, except for potential pitting corrosion in halides. Additionally, it maintains excellent corrosion resistance in water, steam, and mixed gases containing steam, air, or carbon dioxide.
Incoloy 800HT has the following features:
1. Excellent creep fracture resistance at temperatures above 700℃, but Incoloy800H is recommended for service where the material frequently touches below 700℃ or is exposed to below 700℃ for a prolonged period of time;
2. Good resistance to corrosion in reducing, oxidizing and nitriding atmospheres and alternating between reducing and oxidizing atmospheres;
3. Good metallographic stability under long-term application at high temperature. Incoloy 800H and
Incoloy800HT are mainly used for:
1. Steam, various components in the production of hydrogen from hydrocarbon reforming, such as transmission pipelines, catalyst tubes (low pressure process), cooling system pipelines;
2. Pipeline systems used in the production or cracking of various hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons;
3. Various components in coal-fired power plants such as heat exchangers, piping systems, etc.
Incoloy 800HT applications:
1.Nitric acid condenser-resistant to nitric acid corrosion
2.Steam heating tube-good mechanical properties
3.Heating element tube-good mechanical properties
4.For applications up to 500℃, the alloy is supplied in the annealed state.
The density of the alloy is ρ=7.94g/cm³.
