Nickel iron chromium alloy, which shares the same base composition as Incoloy 800, demonstrates significantly higher creep strength. This enhanced strength stems from the combined effects of precise control over carbon (C), aluminum (Al), and titanium (Ti) content, along with heat treatment processes. The alloy is widely used in petrochemical processes, power plant heaters and reheater piping systems, industrial pipelines, and heat treatment equipment. Standard product forms: pipe, sheet, strip, round bar, flat bar, forging, wire, profile. Like Incoloy800 alloy, it is an austenitic solid solution strengthened alloy with a face-centered cubic lattice structure. Titanium carbide and chromium carbide are usually found in the microstructure.
Incoloy 800H has the following features:
1. Due to the limitation of (Ti+AI) content (maximum 0.7%), it has good creep fracture resistance at temperatures above 600℃ and does not reduce plasticity during long-term service at 700℃W;
2. Good corrosion resistance in reducing, oxidizing and nitriding atmospheres and alternating atmosphere of reduction and oxidation;
3. Good metallographic stability under long-term application at high temperature.
Corrosion resistance : Incoloy 800H and Incoloy 800 have the same nickel, chromium and iron content and typically exhibit similar corrosion resistance. Due to the high content, it is ensured that all alloys in this series have excellent oxidation resistance. Compared with 800,800H and 800 can be applied at higher temperatures, and has good strength. At high temperature, it can resist carbonization, nitridation and oxygen. In addition, resistance to hydrogen embrittlement and fracture is the best performance of 800H and 800HT.
Incoloy 800H and Incoloy800HT are mainly used for:
1. Steam, various components in the production of hydrogen from hydrocarbon reforming, such as transmission pipelines, catalyst tubes (low pressure process), cooling system pipelines;
2. Pipeline systems used in the production or cracking of various hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons;
3. Various components in coal-fired power plants such as heat exchangers, piping systems, etc.
The density of the alloy is ρ=7.94g/cm³.
