Inconel N06230 is a carbide-reinforced nickel-chromium-tungsten-molybdenum alloy renowned for its exceptional strength, stability, and high-temperature corrosion resistance. The alloy demonstrates outstanding oxidation resistance at temperatures exceeding 1800°F (980℃). It also exhibits excellent resistance to carbon and nitrogen embrittlement. Inconel N06230 alloy is nickel-based. Chromium resists high-temperature corrosion. Trace addition of the rare earth element lanthanum further enhances oxidation resistance. The high carbon content of tungsten, molybdenum, and other alloy components contributes to the alloy’s strength. By controlling boron content, the creep resistance of N06230 alloy has been optimized.
The density of the alloy is ρ=8.91g/cm³.
