Inconel C-276 is an alloy renowned for its corrosion resistance under various conditions. High molybdenum content endows resistance to local corrosion (such as pitting corrosion). Low-carbon can minimize carbide precipitation to the greatest extent, and welding can maintain resistance to intergranular corrosion.
This alloy is used in chemical processing, pollution control, pulp and paper production, industrial and municipal waste treatment, and the recovery of “acid” natural gas. In air pollution control, including chimney linings, pipes, dampers, scrubbers, flue gas reheaters, fans and chemical processing, this alloy is used in components such as heat exchangers, reactor containers, evaporators and transmission pipes.
The density of this alloy is ρ=8.89g/cm³.
