Tech Center 2025-08-03 32

Nimonic 901 alloy is an age-hardened Ni-Fe-Cr superalloy with significant addition amounts of molybdenum, titanium and aluminum. Depending on the final application and customer specifications, the alloy route of this high-performance material may include a combination of vacuum induction melting, vacuum arc remelting and electroslag remelting. Typically, this alloy is used for gas turbine engine discs, shafts, rings, housings and seals, with a maximum operating temperature of approximately 600 ° C (1100°F).

The density of this alloy is ρ=8.14g/cm³.
