Inconel690 is a high-nickel-chromium alloy with excellent resistance to various corrosive water media and high-temperature environments. In addition to its corrosion resistance, alloy 690 also features high strength, good metallurgical stability and favorable manufacturing characteristics.
The chromium content endows this alloy with excellent resistance to oxidation chemicals and high-temperature oxidizing gases. Its high nickel content endows it with the ability to resist stress corrosion cracking in chlorine-containing environments, and it also has corrosion resistance to sodium hydroxide solution.
The density of this alloy is ρ=8.19g/cm³.
