Nimonic 75 alloy is an 80/20 nickel-chromium alloy containing controlled titanium and carbon additives. It was first introduced in the 1940s for the prototype Whittle jet engine of turbine blades and is now mainly used in thin plate applications that require anti-oxidation and anti-scaling, as well as applications with moderate strength at high temperatures. It is still used in gas turbine engineering as well as industrial heat treatment, furnace components and heat treatment equipment. It is very easy to manufacture and weld.
The density of this alloy is ρ=8.37g/cm³.
