The chemical composition of UNS R30783(Inconel783)

Tech Center 2025-07-30 8

Inconel783 is an oxidation-resistant, low-expansion nickel-cobalt-iron alloy with added aluminum, chromium and niobium. This new type of alloy is of great interest to aircraft gas turbine engine designers and materials engineers, and can be used for sealing and gap control of components such as rings, casings, shields and seals in compressors, turbines and exhaust systems.
Its manufacturing/processing characteristics are comparable to those of Inconel718, and it is less restrictive than Incoloy 909.

The density of this alloy is ρ=7.81g/cm³.
