Nickel 200(UNS N02200/ W.N.2.4060 &2.4066) is industrial-grade (99.6%) forged nickel. It has excellent mechanical properties and outstanding corrosion resistance. Other useful properties of this alloy include its magnetic and magnetostrictive properties, high thermal and electrical conductivity, low gas content and low vapor pressure.
The corrosion resistance of Nickel 200 makes it particularly suitable for maintaining product purity in the processing of food, synthetic fibers and caustic alkali. And in structural applications, corrosion resistance is a major consideration.
Other applications include chemical transport drums, electrical and electronic components, aerospace and missile components.
Industrial pure nickel or low alloy nickel possesses useful properties in several fields, particularly in chemical processing and electronics. Nickel has a high resistance to various reducing chemicals and is unparalleled in resistance to caustic alkali. Compared with nickel alloys, commercial pure nickel has high electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity. It also features a high Curie temperature and excellent magnetostrictive properties. Nickel after annealing has low hardness and good ductility and malleability. These properties, combined with good weldability, make this metal highly processable. Nickel has a relatively low hardening rate, but it can achieve a moderate high strength level through cold working while maintaining its toughness.

The density of this alloy is ρ=8.89g/cm³.
