Incoloy800(UNS N08800/ W.N.1.4876) is a widely used material for the construction of equipment that requires corrosion resistance, heat resistance, strength and stability, with a service temperature up to 1500 ° F(816 ° C). Alloy 800 has general corrosion resistance to many aqueous media and, due to its nickel content, can resist stress corrosion cracking. At high temperatures, it can resist oxidation, carburization and sulfidation, and at the same time has fracture and creep strength. For applications that require greater resistance to stress cracking and creep, especially at temperatures above 1500°F(816 ° C), Incoloy alloys 800H and 800HT are used.
Incoloy800 alloy is used in various applications involving exposure to corrosive environments and high temperatures. It is used in heat treatment equipment such as baskets, trays and fixtures. In chemical and petrochemical processing, this alloy is used in heat exchangers and other piping systems in nitric acid media, especially in cases where resistance to chlorine stress corrosion cracking is required. In nuclear power plants, it is used for steam generator tubes. This alloy is often used for the sheaths of electric heating elements in household appliances. In the production of papermaking pulp, the digester – liquid heater is usually made of alloy.

The density of this alloy is ρ=7.94g/cm³.
