Nimonic PE16 is a forged nickel-chromium-iron base alloy reinforced by the addition of molybdenum, titanium and aluminum. It is mainly used in the temperature range of 500-750℃, combining the high strength and excellent machinability of the aged hardened nickel-based alloy.
The alloy is used in gas turbine flame tubes, nuclear reactor components, missile thermal components, superheater tubes and aircraft piping systems.
The density of the alloy is ρ=8.00g/cm³.
