Nimonic 105 alloy is a forged nickel-cobalt-chromium base alloy reinforced with the addition of molybdenum, aluminum and titanium. It has been developed for service up to 950℃, combining the high strength and good creep resistance of aged hardened nickel-based alloys.
Nimonic 105 alloy is produced by high frequency melting in air and then casting in air. For more critical applications, the alloy is produced by vacuum melting and electroslag refining. The alloy is used for turbine blades, discs, forgings, rings, bolts and fasteners.
The density of the alloy is ρ=8.01g/cm³.
